Better late than never!
Blog entry of FANTASY QUEST 2012 adventures!
Alright, let's have another LONG blog entry in your faces hehehe! I know that this event was still last August, but hey! It doesn't mean I can't post about it just because I'm 2 months overdue XD
Fantasy Quest was a BIG FANTASY. I swear, it was the most fun and memorable event that I have went to this year! (also including Cosmania)
Let the story begin :3
Just arrived in Manila with my best friend Ashti!
We're staying at my cousin Jenny's condo during our trip :D
I can't even begin on how long me and Ashti have planned for this trip. It practically began a year ago when we both were agonizingly sulking because we weren't able to attend last year's event. So we made up for it this year!
EPIC MOMENT: Me and Ashti woke up with BARELY an HOUR to rush to the airport or we would have missed our flight. Bahahaha, sleeping can do so much wonders 8D

Nothing like good old console games
We were a day early! So decided to go around Manila for once :D
First place my cousin Jenny brought us was Bonifacio High Street!
I can't even begin on how much I love Bonifacio High Street! Like geez man, a great place to hang out with friends and just have a nice stroll. The moment we stepped foot here, we immediate saw FULLY-BOOKED. No second thoughts! We went to the heaven of books!

This was a "shut up and take my money" moment. I just had to get it! It was the ONLY one left and it was looking at me saying "Bea, buy me. You know you won't regret it." I GAVE IN.
Alright alright, that's ending day 1 of Manila. I mean we had 4 glorious days to enjoy the city and ourselves! Besides that, this trip was the first time I actually got around the place and just not move back and forth to the event place and to where I'm staying. (Experience in Toycon, wasn't too pretty.) MOVE ON TO THE NEXT DAY!
Day 2! We arrived in Fernwood Gardens!

Okay, me and Ashti were EXCITED AS HELL when we got to the venue! The garden was so beautiful! A really amazing place to hold an event, and of course a photoshoot! It was huge! The gardens were also filled with beautiful plants and had a wonderful architectural structure! Of course, it had fancy guards as well! The entrance was already shouting "FUN ZONE"

Me and Ashti literally jumped like squealing little girls when we saw these two great people! I mean, when you're a vocaloid fan, the moment you arrive to an event and the first cosplayers you see are VOCALOID cosplayers... yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey *throws confetti*
Meeting ate Carissa and kuya Martin was super awesome! They are really nice people and not to mention their cosplays were very cool! Amen for the Kagamine twins!

I'll make this clear, before I knew this was Indie cosplaying KAITO, me and Ashti were seriously pushing each other going "go on! take a picture with Kaito! Go go go!" I mean seriously, Indie did one hell of an AMAZING job on this cosplay. I swear, me and Ashti are hardcore vocaloid fans, and we just went wild (secretly) when we caught a glimpse of Indie walking around XD

Big thanks to ate Charmie for taking the photo. Although WE WERE IN THE VERGE OF LAUGHING because she kept on calling out random numbers before she took the picture. I have to hand it to ate Jin, she could hold in the laugh and stay firm on her pose and expression. This amazing lady has done so many amazing works of art and has done so many inspiring cosplays of many well recognized characters! It was so wonderful to meet you ate Jin! We're cheering you on!

Alright. This time, this is the FANTASY we experienced
One of the biggest surprises me and Ashti experienced during the event is the large amount of AMAZING COSPLAY GUESTS they had! We seriously did not expect so many amazing cosplayers both national and international to be there! So it was definitely a surprise that got us both even more hyped up to enjoy the event more!

This was one of the biggest surprises during the whole trip! Me and Ashti didn't expect to see Vio and Reiko in the event, since they didn't really announce that they would be coming XD But it was so amazing to get to meet them and get their photo! These guys are super nice and absolutely lovable! With more vocaloid fandom, seeing them do Rin and Len just activated the fangirl all over again. We were also very pleased that they both enjoyed the chibi Rin and Len doodle Ashti drew on the paper they signed on! Oranges and bananas can do so much wonders :D

Alright. I couldn't believe that I was standing in front of Yuegene Fay and was composed haha! It was such an honor to finally get to meet her! Yuegene has been one of the first international cosplayers that I really looked up to, she was also the one who drew me into the world of cosplay and take interest in it! Since the day I saw her Gakupo Kamui cosplay, I immediately wanted to see more of her works! Honestly, being able to meet a cosplayer that I have looked upon for so long is just overwhelming! She's absolutely sweet in real life and just simply someone who you could easily talk to!
*ps. Me and Ashti even learned how to speak Thai and learned how to introduce ourselves in Thai as well XD It was kind of relieving that Yuegene-san replied when we said "Sawat Di!" it meant we didn't say it wrong XD

Me and Ashti were extremely surprised when Yuegene suddenly decided to PHOTOBOMB! At first she hesitated, but I reassured her, her photobombing skills will be recognized LOL!
It was kind of fun to see the three of them relax and decide to goof off on our pictures! Even though me and Ashti tried our hardest to keep our composure straight as we went along XD
It's so great to see the smiles on everyone's faces! Yuegene, Vio and Reiko! Thank you for making the Fantasy Quest experience me and Ashti had memorable! Meeting you all was definitely something we won't forget! We definitely hope we get the chance to meet you all again!
