DaoRuay
Thailand's Princes of Song
What brings the little lamb to this entry?
No matter where you go, there's always going to be that single Uta No Prince-sama related thing that will pop out on your computer screen. This article, is one of them.
I'd like to introduce a very talented group of cosplayers from Thailand who has brought nothing but smiles to my face whenever I see their videos and photos. This group in particular is composed of a group of friends who want nothing more than to share their love for cosplay and Uta No Prince-sama.
Meet the members composing the ever adored "DaoRuay" cosplay group of Thailand! This group has been recognized for their portrayals of the ever famous princes from the anime Uta No Prince-sama and have also performed live performances in cosplay events. This group of friends founded the team in early 2011 and have been going strong up to the present. Being able to chat with some of the princes really is an overwhelming feeling, and to be honest I'm very thankful that they are willing communicate with new people.
As we continue this article, why don't I introduce you all to the princes?
Rokang as Ichinose Tokiya
Shinna as Ittoki Otoya
Shinna portrays the ever happy-go-lucky Ittoki Otoya in the group. She's a very perky and active girl who constantly has a smile on her face. Shinna's portrayal of Otoya is one of the few that I adore very much, she has not once failed to bring out Otoya's friendly and approachable nature in not only in her photos but during her performances as well.
Rokang portrays the cool and ever alluring Ichinose Tokiya. Even with Tokiya's seemingly cold and reserved personality, Rokang is a girl who acts the complete opposite. She's the kind of girl who not only takes importance of her friends but also to her life behind the cosplay world. What makes Rokang very noticeable is her ability to bring out Tokiya's personality with her expressions and gestures. Two key things that I find very admirable for a cosplayer to possess.
Kei Zoldick as Jinguji Ren
KarokKum as Hijirikawa Masato
Kei Zoldick portrays the ever famous womanizer Jinguji Ren. What I love about her most is that she keeps a hint of "Ren" whenever she converses with her fans and friends. Kei is very approachable and quite charming as a person, she never fails to make the "little lambs" giggle with her responses. I find Kei very admirable because of how dedicated she is to her character, I love how she keeps in-character and give off Ren's seductive demeanor. She's one of the Ren cosplayers whom I appreciate because of how well she portrayed one of my favorite princes!
KarokKum portrays the old-fashioned yet romantic Hijirikawa Masato. Kum is such a sweet girl in real life, who I can say is not so uptight like Masato is haha! She's very open and is someone you can easily talk with, though she never fails to bring in a hint of her sweetness when you're conversing with her. Kum's portrayal of Masato is worth the admiration it receives, she may have a different personality with Hijirikawa, but she turns into a complete different person once the camera is up. As sweet as she is, she can also become everyone's prince with one flash of the camera.
Zieon as Shinomiya Natsuki
Ching as Kurusu Syo
Zieon portrays the lovable Shinomiya Natsuki. Just like Natsuki, she's friendly, adorable and just a pack of sweetness! Talking to her is like talking to a friend you've known for years, even though you've just recently met haha! I find her friendliness and carefree personality something special that she possesses, and I feel very lucky to have been able to experience it. Zieon just brings a smile on my face whenever I see her photos of her Natsuki cosplay, I love how she shows Natsuki's goofy, carefree and friendly demeanor in her photos. She's like a walking Natsuki already! All she needs is her "Elizabeth" (winks)
Ching portrays the feisty yet sweet Kurusu Syo. My first impression of Ching is that she's just plain adorable and perfect for Syo's role. I have yet to get the chance to talk to her, but seeing her in their videos tells me she's someone you'd enjoy being your friend! Ching did exceptionally well with her cosplay of Syo, from not only looking like him but also acting like him when they have a performance or video shoot.
DaoRuay's first year anniversary as a team
Just recently as well, these talented group of people have performed their amazing performance of the famous Maji Love 1000% dance routine at Idealistic Novelist Grand Cosplay that was held in Thailand early 2012. Check out their performance!
Here's a behind the scenes look on their preparation for their performance
I'm proud to be supporting this talented group of people. They work hard for their goals and they always do their best to produce the best results! If you love Uta No Prince-sama like they do, then I think that gives you enough reason to support them and to cheer them on!
